the Sustainable Tourism Center located in Huaraz, Peru.

Through this website, we’d like to share our passion for sustainable tourism, and let you take part in the challenges sustainable tourism faces in Peru. RESPONS is a local business that offers you sustainable tourism products, and works hand in hand with local communities around Huaraz, Ancash (northern Peru), and other local reliable partners, to ensure maximum product quality and sustainability. RESPONS functions as a bridge between the tourism sector and local communities; that often need each other, but do not have the same business culture. We would like to give you the opportunity to experience RESPONSible travel first-hand, by offering you a wide range of sustainable tourism products in Central and Northern Peru. Our offer varies from primitive but highly intercultural homestays in Andean or jungle villages, to high-end mountain accommodations, from educative visits to artisans, to volunteering in villages, to trekking the Great Inca Route or through the jungle. In the short future, RESPONS will develop new sustainable tourism products within its philosophy in order to stay at pace with growing demand and changing needs amongst responsible travelers and the tourism sector in Peru and abroad. Information about new projects will be placed on this website.

Since one of our main goals is to spread knowledge on sustainable tourism and responsible travelling, our website contains much information on sustainable tourism (which will be continuously updated and expanded) and how you can travel more responsibly yourself.
