mapatrekkingjuninpascoThe youngsters from the community of San Miguel de Marankiari, that also offer a Homestay program, have developed an expedition route which takes you from the upper jungle deep down into the lower jungle. You start in their community of Asháninka ethnicity, and during the trip you will visit villages of other native tribes, too.

The Asháninka Trail will make you cross numerous rivers, teach you about commercial contacts between native tribes of the linguistic Arawak Asháninka  family, the products that grow in different places or ecosystems, and about ancient traditions, lifestyles and languages of the Central jungle.
